映画『Feel/Unfeel フィール/アンフィール《発達障害と日本》』(仮名)発達障害の当事者の生きづらさは多種多様です。その中で「感覚特性」の強い方がいます。聴覚過敏、視覚過敏、逆に感覚鈍麻。それらは当事者たちの直接の生きづらさとなっていますが、それよりももっと生きづらくしているのは『感じられない社会』『感じ取ろうとしない社会』でしょう。
「恥」の文化の日本は、障害者などのマイノリティをより内へと押し込めていく力が強いと考えられます。「多様性」という言葉が一般化した現代でもそれはまだ強く残っています。むしろ行き過ぎて細分化された「多様」が「分断」にもつながっているのかもしれません。
このドキュメンタリー映画では、日本を中心に海外の発達障害当事者や関係者のインタビュー、そして現場取材を行ない、日本の中における「発達障害」を取り巻く環境を国際比較し、現在の課題と将来の展望を見出して行きます。
監督は、映画『ノルマル17歳。-わたしたちはADHD-』の北 宗羽介監督。2026年春公開予定。国際映画祭参加予定。

The challenges faced by individuals with developmental disorders are diverse. Among them are those with sensory characteristics—Auditory or visual hypersensitivity, or conversely, hypoesthesia. While these directly impact their daily lives, what makes life even harder is a "unfeelable" society or "not trying to feel" society.
Japan's "shame culture" likely exerts a strong force pushing minorities like people with disabilities further inward. Even in today's world where the term “diversity” has become commonplace, this force remains potent in Japan. Indeed, the overly fragmented and subdivided notion of ‘diversity’ may itself be contributing to “division.”
This documentary film centers on Japan, featuring interviews with individuals with developmental disorders and related parties both in Japan and other countries, alongside on-site reporting. It compares the environment surrounding “developmental disorders” within Japan internationally, identifying current challenges and future prospects.
Directed by Sounosuke Kita, director of the film “Normal Seventeen -We are ADHD-”. Filming is currently underway, aiming for a spring 2026 release.
